Namaste.
I am 25 years old and live in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. I work with my dad in our own family business of - Ayurvedic Manufacturing of Medicines. Since childhood I had interest for making crafts out of paper. The first and the last time I made a doll shape card was at the age of 8 years. I kept the card to make replicas of it but as time passed I forgot about my hobby, my love towards crafting. January 2012 a video uploaded by an international blogger taught me how to make my first paper rose and within 3 months I am insanely in love with CRAFTING.
And, to promote it I would love to sweat it out.
When i made the beautiful flower for the first time, the smile on my mother's face, that her child can create such a gorgeous thing, made me swell with pride and when guests are astonished to see the beautiful creations it really makes me feel proud of my self-taught creativity.
Irony is, wonder why in school and colleges or in the city no body teaches craft to kids and above. Why no affordable camps or workshops are held where kids or teens could spend sometime and learn to play, scrap, tear, cut, glue scraps to produce beautiful ornaments and collective working will help in building relations, challenges and a enjoyable time will be spend among them in being humane and spreading happiness by playing and creating together.
It's not just about picking a piece of paper and modifying it - the beauty lies in when a scrap is turned into a creative and beautiful piece for which you are appreciated and complimented a lot. After all, who does not love admiration.
Part of me wants to bring in a creative and artistic touch of kids and above so that even they can explore the ideas within themselves. In two months i have seen girls, guys, men, women, housewives, working ladies, kids all into crafting and it stuns me to see how much they all love to explore their creativity- for the love of their own, for the time they spend with their kids teaching them, and for the world by their various ways of putting up tutorials.
The main motive of KBS is to explore the creativity of the children and provide them a with platform where they can have a productive fun time.
